SASKIA Clark secured a silver medal in Miami.
The Mersea Island sailor, along with helm Hannah Mills, was competing in the ISAF Sailing World Cup event in Biscayne Bay.
Clark and Mills were in second place going into today’s medal race in the women’s 470 class.
At the halfway point in the race they had slipped into the bronze medal position.
But a sixth place finish today was enough to secure silver at the finish line.
The London 2012 Olympic silver medallists were beaten by the New Zealand pairing that denied them the gold, Jo Aleh and Polly Powrie.
Powrie and Aleh finished in second place in the final race to take first overall on nett 15 points, 27 ahead of the British pair.
The Japanese team of Ai Kondo Yoshida and Miho Yoshioka took the bronze medal with 46 points.
