STANWAY ROVERS boss Angelo Harrop plans to dig out his scrap books in a bid to fire up his players for their FA Vase tie against Barking.

The sides meet in a first round qualifying tie at the Hawthorns tomorrow (kick-off 3pm).

Harrop has enjoyed great success in the competition, helping Needham Market reach the semi-finals in 2008 and Leiston the quarter-finals in 2011.

And he intends using cuttings from his collection to help inspire his players to put together a run of their own.

“I was lucky enough to experience that and I’m going to bring in my scrap books, to show the lads some of my cuttings," he said.

“Hopefully it will inspire them in some way.”

Elsewhere in tomorrow’s Vase ties, WIVENHOE TOWN have a home date with Takeley and HALSTEAD TOWN host Broxbourne Borough.

There are two Thurlow Nunn League premier division games of note, with FC CLACTON travelling to Haverhill Rovers and BRANTHAM ATHLETIC hosting Fakenham.
