Joe Dunne insists it will not be a case of mission impossible for Colchester United when they take on high-flying Peterborough United tomorrow.

The U’s head into the League One clash at the Weston Homes Community Stadium still looking for their first win of the season.

In contrast, promotion-chasing Posh have won three of their opening four league matches and lie second in the table.

However, U’s boss Dunne believes his side have what it takes to pull off an unexpected victory - and get their season up and running.

Dunne said: “It’s not impossible that we can win.

“Sometimes, teams down the bottom beat teams at the top so we have to be 100 per cent.

“We need to play at our maximum and make it as difficult as we’ve made it for a lot of the teams we’ve played against.

“We’re going to be playing against a team who I’m sure will be in that zone.

“We’ll have to be as competitive as we can be and go out and do what we’ve been doing."

One draw from Five competitive games and One embarrassing local friendly 3-0 loss.
Now tomorrow is an Anglian Derby and 4000 are expected.
Next week Walsall-our end of season 1-0 Douggie game 4 months ago.
But HeyHo keep quiet.

Stranger things have happened.
I agree with "do the things we've been doing"....bar the defending!
No reason we can't give them a game.

Lets stop going on about LittleOlColchester and "HighFlying Posh"
Don't Forget Luton and Cambridge have been non league Clubs in the past 7 years and it was not that long ago that London Road was playing in the fourth tier.
Colchester have been in the 3rd Tier and above for 16 YEARS!!!!
We can do this.

If we go out and 'do what we have been doing' we will be annihilated! Anyway, we did manage to somehow beat them last season at home so yes, it can be done! (I try to be optimistic where I can but I can't see where the goals are going to come from!) Up the U's!
