CHELMSFORD City could face a very tricky away tie in the Essex Senior Cup semi-finals if victory in the quarters is achieved.
For AFC Hornchurch wait in the wings to extract revenge for an earlier FA Trophy episode should Glenn Pennyfather’s men beat Aveley.
Colin McBride’s Hornchurch men, from the Ryman League Premier Division, bowed-out of the Trophy a few months ago at the hands of City, who required a replay to complete the job, and the Urchins would guarantee Chelmsford a tough challenge.
Pennyfather’s side aim to retain their County Cup silverware after claiming the BBC Essex-supported competition last season with a win in the final against Concord Rangers.
Elsewhere, two Coca-Cola Football League sides could lock horns after Dagenham & Redbridge were paired at home to Colchester United or Maldon Town in the draw at BBC Essex’s headquarters in New London Road.
