A team of young entrepreneurs from New Hall School go head-to-head with students across the country, as Peter Jones CBE announces the official start of trading for his nationwide enterprise competition.
Four Year 13 students from Chelmsford will officially launch their business idea New Hall Hampers to market, which provides beautifully packaged locally sourced products from Essex.
New Hall Principal, Katherine Jeffrey said: “We are proud of the entrepreneurial spirit shown by our young students in successfully pitching their business idea for the Tycoon in Schools competition.”
The competition sees almost 400 businesses created by children as young as five who are trading between October 30 and December 15.
All profits made from the hampers will be donated to the local homeless charity, Chelmsford CHESS.
The budding Young Tycoons have received £867.96 in funding from Peter Jones CBE to kick-start their businesses. He said: “I am very excited to see the innovative and creative business ideas come to fruition and wish all students the best of luck.”
