Chelmsford City were held to a draw in Saturday’s FA Trophy third qualifying round tie at Wealdstone as they came from behind to sneak a late leveller.

Shaun Batt’s 80th minute equaliser kept their hopes alive, after the Clarets found themselves a goal-behind as Mustafa Tiryaki headed home Danny Green’s corner.

But Bobby Wilkinson’s side were reduced to 10 men as Sam Cox was given his second yellow of the afternoon with 30 minutes still to play.

And this gave Chelmsford the boost they needed.

Twenty minutes after Cox was sent off, Batt leant forward to power home Scott Davies’ deep cross, much to the delight of the travelling support.

The winners of the replay will host Wingate & Finchley.
