CHELMSFORD Hylanders Junior team (U18) remain unbeaten in the BISHA South East inline hockey league following another close fought victory over the Medway Assassins on Sunday.

By early into the third period Chelmsford had built up a 5-1 lead, but the Assassins came back hard and scored three goals in a six-minute period.

But Hylanders took control again and closed out the last two minutes to win 5-4.

Chelmsford's goals came from Jack Smith, Aaron Mitchell, Ross Cowan and Brandon Ayliffe (2). Penalties were awarded to Tom Baptist (tripping), Jack Smith (hooking).

This week sees juniors play Borehamwood Crusaders in the final league game before travelling to Germany for the European Cup at the end of the month.

Hylanders, based out of Hylands School in Chelmsford, run teams for ages from six to 18 years and are recruiting now.
