CHELMSFORD City will be looking to sign off their National League South season on a high when they host relegated Basingstoke Town on Saturday.

Town go into the match bottom of the table, while Kevin Maher's team sit comfortably in 13th place having shaken off any relegation fears over the past few weeks.

The Clarets were unable to stop Sutton United clinching the National League South title on Saturday with a 2-0 win in front of 1,545 fans at the Borough Sports Ground.

Dan Flitchett put Sutton ahead in the 26th minute and Ross Stearn added another in the 40th minute ensured United would be playing National League football next season as they opened up a six-point gap on title rivals Ebbsfleet United.
