GALLEYWOOD B shocked Division Two champions Chelmsford A 8-2 in the Chelmsford & District Table Tennis League, with Gary Brignall and James Hicks undefeated.
Liberal have almost certainly secured second place although they were held to a 5-5 draw by OCs C, while Chris Hancox hat-trick helped Danury E to a 6-4 win over Danbury D.
Danbury C impressed in division one as they beat Danbury B 8-2.
Third-placed Chelmsford C - Victor Chan, Bob Francis and Paul Nicol - played superbly to hammer Maldon B 10-0. Danbury G have finished fourth after beating OCs D 8-2, while Maldon C beat OCs E 6-4. Second-placed Chelmsford B pipped leaders Elmtree Excalibur C 6-4, although Excalibur’s Phil Smith made it 39 win out of 39 this season.
