CHELMSFORD City climbed up to 13th in the National League South table after beating Bishop's Stortford 4-1 tonight.
The victory puts the Clarets six points clear of the relegation zone and made it back-to-back wins following Saturday's 4-0 win at Weston-super-Mare.
But it was Stortford who took the lead through a Christian Dibble own goal in the fourth minute at the Melbourne Stadium.
The Clarets goalkeeper was unable to clear Frankie Merrifield's attempt that hit a post.
But the hosts were on terms five minutes later through a Mark Haines header from Bagasan Graham's cross.
Southend United loanee Jack Bridge then put Chelmsford ahead in the 45th minute to make it 2-1 at half-time.
Graham's cross set up the third goal, with Bridge's Shrimpers team-mate Jason Williams firing past Tom Lovelock in the Stortford goal in the 54th minute.
Mark Hughes wrapped up the points with a fine strike in the 71st minute and two minutes later Storford were reducedto 10 men when Ashley Miller was sent off for a second bookable offence.
Defeat left Stortford 15th and level with Chelmsford on 26 points, although City have a superior goal difference.
Caretaker manager Kevin Maher takes his team to Truro City on Saturday, with the hosts lying fifth and in the last play-off place ahead of their home match against Weston-super-Mare tomorrow night.
