RIDLEY League leaders Dog & Partridge cruised into the quarter-finals of the Darts Cup with a comprehensive 5-2 win to interrupt Little Waltham’s run of improved form.

Tony Bamsey and Darren Kochan kept Waltham in contention in the singles, but Mick Cain and George Wood settled the contest in the first pairs.

Compasses won the Chelmsford derby, but Red Beret went down fighting as Joe Selby sparked a fightback that left the match hanging on the final pairs. However, home skipper Grant Gregory and Dave Whitton were up to the challenge.

Cricketers underlined their improvement by ensuring their last-eight place. Five of the seven games against Chequers A went to a deciding leg, but Cricketers had a 5-2 win.
