CHELSMFORD City will turn their attentions to the FA Trophy on Saturday when they host Gloucester City.
The Clarets enter the competition at the third round stage with a final at Wembley in their sights.
But City will be keen to bounce back to winning ways following their 3-0 National League South defeat to Eastbourne Borough last Saturday. Gloucester arrive sitting 17th in National League North standings and head into Saturday’s match at the Melbourne Stadium on the back of a goalless draw at Solihull Moors.
Chelmsford’s inconsistent form returned to haunt them again on Saturday against Eastbourne.
Having cancelled out two defeats with a brace of victories, City were undone 3-0 against Borough.
Nathaniel Pinney put the visitors ahead after 32 minutes.
And Pinney doubled the visitors’ lead after 53 minutes and City’s coach Kevin Maher was sent to the stands late on.
Elliot Romain came on as a substitute and sealed the three points in added time.
