CHELMSFORD men’s first team bounced back from a 2-0 deficit to beat Bedford 4-2 in the East Prem A division thanks to a brace from Mike Millane and goals from Steve Harrison and Harry Rayner.
But they exited the cup on Sunday at the hands of an unbeaten Premier League Surbiton team packed with internationals who secured a 10-1 win, Steve Harrison got the consolation after good work by Adam Hunter.
Chelmsford ladies’ third team beat bottom-of-the-table Romford 3-1 in Essex Premier.
The men’s sixth team drew 1-1 with Southend in East 9SE.
Southend’s opener was the first goal conceded by Chelmsford in four games. Matt Gore’s second half goal secured the stalemate.
