FIVE Chelmsford Hylanders players represented Great Britain in the European U19 Inline Skater Hockey Championships at the weekend.
James Dimond, Ross Cowan, Jake Hall, Brandon Ayliffe and captain Lawrence Reffell lined up against teams from Germany, Switzerland, Austria and the hosts Croatia.
After a hard weekend the team needed a win in the last game against Austria to secure bronze but finished fourth following a close-fought draw.
Team GB can be proud of the fact they gave both finalists Germany and eventual winners Switzerland their hardest games.
Ayliffe was one of the four outfield players selected for the overall tournament Dream Team.
Chelmsford Hylanders run teams from ages six to 18 and are recruiting new players now. Visit a training session at Hylands School sports hall on Monday evenings or contact Ian Reffell (07801 135775) or Debbie Irby (07986 080630).
