CHELMSFORD City kick-off their National League South campaign away to Oxford City on Saturday.
The Clarets concluded their pre-season preparations with a 2-1 win over a Charlton Athletic XI last night.
Karlan Ahearne-Grant put the Addicks ahead in the 14th minute but Billy Bricknell equalised five minutes before half-time.
Lee Sawyer bagged the winner in the 70th minute after a mistake by Charlton goalkeeper Jordan Beeney.
Chelmsford lost 2-1 to Needham Market on Saturday.
