CHELMSFORD AC’s teenagers may have finished bottom of the table at their UK Development League match at Newham, but there were still a number of fine performances to put smiles on the team managers’ faces.

Rosa Prideaux stormed to a win and a new personal best in the under-17 women’s 300m while Great Britain international Moesha Howard got her summer campaign under way by winning the under-20 women’s 100m hurdles in 14.65m.

Jodie Judd picked up two A-string victories in the 1,500m (5m 3.79s) and the 3,000m (10m 55.89s) while there were a number of wins in the field. Alex Reynolds shot up to sixth in the national rankings in the under-17 men’s hammer with his throw of 55.53m, but that was only good enough for second as the UK leader George Marvell won with 59.60m.

Callum Charleston lowered his 800m personal best to 1m 59.11s as he finished second in the under-20 men’s 1,500m while Alfie Green set a new best in the under-20 3,000m (10m 28.61s).
