THE Chequers’ hopes of an all-Felsted final in the Ridley League Dominoes Cup were torpedoed as their A team, four times winners, were undone just one step short.
Broomfield King’s Arms atoned for their failure to retain the Combined Trophy by winning the semi-final 6-3, thanks chiefly to Dave Suckling and Colin Smith.
That leaves Chequers B to carry the pub’s hopes in the final. The result of their home game against Chelmsford City FC (reportedly a 7-2 win) hadn’t been confirmed at the time of writing.
