SPINNER Tim Phillips has extended his stay at the Ford County Ground by signing a new one season deal.

The 32-year-old left-armer who played 25 times for Essex in 2013 agreed the contract which will see him play for the county in 2014.

Phillips, who made his debut for Essex in 1999, said: "I am very pleased to have signed a new contract with the Club for a further year.

"I’m looking ahead to next year and having a good pre-season, which I can take into the new campaign."
