Chelmsford City v Bath City preview
12:32pm Thursday 3rd October 2013 in Sport
CHELMSFORD City are looking to bounce back from two back-to-back defeats when Bath City visit Melbourne Stadium on Saturday (3pm kick-off).
The Clarets return to Skrill South action this weekend after bowing out of the FA Cup last time out against Biggleswade Town in the Second Qualifying Round.
But boss Dean Holdsworth will want to get his league form back-on-track, although Bath City have always proved a formidable outfit when facing the Clarets in previous years.
The matches against Bath City have always provided a high level of entertainment, particularly in recent times.
In the 2009/10 Conference South season opener the Clarets played out a 4-3 win at Melbourne, although were on the receiving end of a disappointing play-off defeat the same campaign.
Bath recorded their best ever league position the following season, finishing within the top ten of the Conference Premier.
Bath City currently sit 14th in the Skrill South and, unlike the Clarets, sailed through to book their FA Cup Third Qualifying Round spot after defeating fellow Conference South side Gosport Borough in their last outing.
Previous to the cup triumph Bath had suffered two back-to-back defeats.
