11:50am Friday 27th September 2013 in Sport
CHELMSFORD City turn their attention to Saturday as FA Cup fever hits Biggleswade Town for the FA Cup Second Qualifying Round (3pm kick-off).
The Clarets kick off their 2013/14 FA Cup campaign on Saturday 28th September at the Carlsberg Stadium as they take on Calor Gas Southern League Premier Division side Biggleswade Town.
Chelmsford have enjoyed a successful FA Cup run for the past three seasons, playing the likes of Wycombe Wanderers, Macclesfield Town and Crawley in the process.
The Clarets also beat League 1 side Colchester United 3-1 in arguably the best victory of the club’s history last campaign.
Biggleswade Town, who have been managed by Chris Nunn since 2006, enjoyed play-off success last season after finishing 4th in the Division One Central league.
The Bedfordshire-based club celebrate their 125th anniversary in 2014 and they will be targeting an upset when the Clarets visit on Saturday.
The Waders drew the Clarets in the Second Qualifying Round of the knock-out competition after seeing off Wingate & Finchley 4-3 in a replay after both sides contested a 0-0 draw in the original fixture.
