An elderly resident needed treatment after a fire in her home.
The woman, believed to be in her 90s, was rescued from her retirement home in Noah’s Court in Mount Lane, Crawley by firefighters at 7pm last night.
She was given oxygen and treated by paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service.
Crews from Crawley and Turners Hill attended the incident after detectors were set off by smoke issuing from unattended cooking.
