Scene - the crash took place at the junction of Newcomen Way and Wyncolls Road
Emergency services are on the scene of a crash in Severalls Business Park.
A white Mini collided with a blue 4x4 vehicle in Wyncolls Road shortly before 4.30pm.
The road is blocked and emergency services are on the scene.
Ambulance and fire crews are on the scene alongside Essex Police officers.
An Essex Fire Service spokesman said:"Firefighters assisted at the scene of a road traffic collision this afternoon.
"On arrival crews reported that one man was trapped following the incident, which involved two vehicles.
"Firefighters worked to release the man by 4.35pm, before leaving him in the care of the Ambulance Service."
The extent of the man's injuries is not yet known.
