FIREFIGHTERS weren’t ‘loving it’ when they spent five hours rescuing a pet bull called Big Mac, after he fell into a garden pond.
Crews spent hours battling to save the 20-year-old bull, which fell into a pond on Tuesday, at a farm in Magpie Lane, Little Warley. The animal was up to its shoulders in water and stuck in deep mud, but owner Sharon Bowmer, 51, said true to his nature, Big Mac was unflustered.
She said: “Usually he has a drink at the pond, he must have slipped and fallen in.
“He was quite laid back and calm about it.”
Mrs Bowmer, who thanked the firefighters involved, said Big Mac is now recovering well.
