A FAMOUS thriller will be coming to the stage in September.
Brentwood-based theatre group Early Doors Productions will be performing the Alfred Hitchcock play the 39 Steps at the Cramphorn Theatre, in Chelmsford, from September 8 to 10.
The performance is based on the 1935 film starring Robert Donat and Madeleine Carroll, which was adapted from a John Buchan novel.
The amateur theatre group formed in early 2010 and has already received excellent reviews from its first production No Sex Please, We’re British, which it performed in February.
The stars of the 39 Steps include Lionel Bishop, Justin Cartledge, Martin Harris and Amy Clayton, who is also directing.
Tickets cost between £10 and £12 and can be booked by calling the box office on 01245 606505.
