BILLERICAY stylist Jim Shaw has been officially crowned Men's Hairdresser Of The Year award at the British Hairdressing Awards.
Jim, 42, was at the prestigious Grosvenor House Hotel in London's Park Lane to receive his profession's top award from TV presenter Graham Norton.
Mr Shaw said: "I was totally shocked because I had to compete with thousands for the award.
"Even more surprising was that I won at the first time of entering."
Jim runs the Essensuals, Toni & Guy salon in Billericay High Street, with his sister Maria.
He plans soon to open his own men's salon in the High Street.
