A MAN was left fighting for his life after being attacked in Chelmsford city centre.
Police are investigating the serious assault in Duke Street which happened at around 3am on Sunday morning, August 19,
Officers are appealing for witnesses.
The victim was taken to Broomfield Hospital with a critical head injury.
Police are trying to contact the man's family.
He is believed to be an Albanian national, aged in his 20s.
Two men have been arrested. They are a 28-year-old from Chelmsford and 31-year-old from West London.
Detectives need to speak to anyone who was in the city centre and saw the incident, involving a group of people, or has any other information.
