PEOPLE will be encouraged to get active to help celebrate the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Anglia Ruskin University is hosting a Sport Makers event at its Chelmsford campus, in Bishop Hall Lane, on Tuesday, February 21 from 5.30pm to 8.30pm.
Sport Makers aims to inspire 1,400 people from across Essex to participate themselves or help others take part in informal exercise, which could range from rounding up a group of friends for a five-a-side kickabout in the park, to organising a fundraising fun run in the area.
Every Sport Maker who volunteers for ten hours or more will receive a free Adidas t-shirt and bag.
They will also be in with a chance of winning Olympic related prizes and will receive a volunteering accreditation certificate.
To book a place visit www.sportmakers.co.uk or call Nick Sime at Sport Essex on 01245 438615.
