NEW listening figures show more and more people are listening to Southend Radio and Chelmsford Radio.
The figures show the stations added a total of 4,000 more listeners during the past three months and 11,000 since last summer.
Today 58,000 tune in each week to the stations says RAJAR, the independent organisation which measures listening figures and treats both stations as just one broadcaster.
Southend Radio and Chelmsford Radio are owned by the Stockvale Group, the same company which runs Adventure Island on Southend seafront.
RAJAR stands for Radio Joint Audience Research and is the official body in charge of measuring radio audiences in the UK.
There are approximately 310 stations in the survey and results are published every quarter and for more information visit www.rajar.co.uk
