WALKERS are invited to go The Extra Mile for mental health.
As part of the North Essex Partnership’s anti-stigma campaign, it is holding a walk in Central Park, Chelmsford, on Monday, October 10, to mark World Mental Health Day.
Andrew Geldard, chief executive of the North Essex Partnership, said: “The Extra Mile is about reducing the stigma of mental illness so that no one suffers in silence – we are here to help.
“Last year we had a huge turnout for the Extra Mile. This year we are expecting an even bigger crowd.”
There will be goody bags to take away and a number of patients will be telling their stories on the day.
If would like to take part, meet at the bridge in Central Park, close to the Virgin Active health club, at 11.30am for a noon start.
