A STALWART of the stand up comedy circuit is coming to Chelmsford.

Lee Hurst is touring for the first time in ten years and will be at the Civic Theatre on Thursday October 6.

His show, Man ‘V’ Woman, is an amusing look at the difference between the two sexes.

Lee, originally from Poplar, East London, became a warm up act for Have I got News for you after developing his own stand up act.

He then went on to become a regular panellist on BBC 1’s They Think It’s All Over, appearing in six series from 1995 until 1998.

In 1997 he created Bring Me the Head of Light Entertainment, a successful Channel 5 series which ran for three years. However in the late nineties Lee returned to his stand up roots and opened The Backyard Comedy Club in Bethnal Green.

Man ‘V’ Woman is two shows in one. The first half is Lee at his best, performing his hilarious stand up act.

In the second half he presents his unique new game show Man ‘V’ Woman where the two genders will compete against each other in a series of tasks and questions to highlight the comical differences between them.

The audience will decide who wins, but will they be honest or vote along their gender lines?

This show is suitable for ages 16 and up.

All tickets are £16 - no concessions.
