CHILDREN’S TV favourite Dora the Explorer will be turning on the Christmas lights at a shopping centre this year.

Dora and her friend Diego will flick the switch at the Meadows shopping centre at 4pm on Saturday.

The characters will also appear throughout the day to pose for photographs with some of their young fans.

Sue Patel, manager at the centre, said: “We hope we can offer a little extra sparkle that will make the people of Chelmsford’s Christmas extra special this year.”
