10:31am Thursday 9th July 2009
CHELMSFORD Council has teamed up with five tennis clubs in the area to host ‘Play Tennis 2009’.
It takes place on Saturday.
Each of the clubs involved will be providing a range of free activities throughout the day for adults and children alike.
Activities will include speed guns, ball machines, competitions, prizes, demonstration racquets, free coaching, refreshments and much more.
The aim of the day is to allow anyone with an interest in playing tennis to have access to tennis courts or coaching free of charge and to make joining a tennis club as easy as possible.
The free open days will be taking place at the following clubs Great Baddow Lawn Tennis Club, Grove Tennis Club, Marconi Tennis Club, Old Chelmsfordians and Writtle.
For further information on the activities available on the day or directions to any of the clubs, please call Chelmsford Council’s Sports Development Unit on 01245 606978 or email sportmad@chelmsford.gov.uk.
