Cressing Temple is gearing up to host a returning food, home and lifestyle event which always proves popular.

The fair will be set in the picturesque grounds of the historic venue between Braintree and Witham this weekend.

It will bring a huge range of stalls to the site, many of which will be inside the barns themselves.

Others will be positioned around the grounds in marquees and at outside stands.

Visitors will be able to take time to browse, sample and buy some superb products before taking in one of the cookery demonstrations which will run during the weekend.

A mixture of celebrity cooks such as Ondine Hartgroves, Sophie Grigson of Masterchef fame, and James Barber – the head chef at the the Stoke-by-Nayland Hotel – will all be on hand to show food fans a trick or two.

All of the demonstrations will be included in the cost of the entry ticket.

There will also be a licensed bar and the event will be fully catered.

The focus isn’t just on food and drink – there will also be displays of But it’s not just focused on the food and drink and home items - owls and other birds of prey will also take part in displays.

The event was last held at Cressing Temple in March and proved to be a hit.

This time, it will be held across the whole weekend, with doors open at 10am on both Saturday, September 29, and Sunday, September 30, closing at 4pm.

Parking will be free of charge.

On the gate, tickets will cost £6 for adults and £5 for concessions while accompanied young people under the 18 can get in for free.

If booking in advance online, tickets will cost £5 for adults and £4 for concessions.

Dogs are welcome but Cressing Temple does not allow animals into the barns and pets will not be allowed into marquees with food exhibitions in either.

All dogs must be under control at all times and on a short lead.
