Stansted Airport has appointed a new chief of its daily operations.
Steve Griffiths will be the airport's new chief operating officer, leading the day to day management of the facility as it enters its biggest ever capital growth programme.
Mr Griffiths joins after leaving a similar role for the London Underground.
Ken O'Toole, Stansted's chief executive, said: "Steve has a wealth of experience with particular strengths in customer service, safety, operational excellence and the management of diverse stakeholder relationships.
"I am confident that Steve will bring the energy and experience required to build on the great foundations that exist at Stansted and I look forward to working with him as the airport continues its upward trajectory."
