A FUN day was held in Burnham to raise awareness of Tourettes Syndrome.

The Tourettes Awareness fun day, organised by mum-of-three Claire Payne, took place on Saturday from 11am to 4pm.

The event was held on the field at Ormiston Rivers Academy in Southminster Road.

Funds from the day will go towards the cause of Tourette’s awareness.

There were craft and gift stalls, pony rides rides, inflatables, live music and more.

Ms Payne created the event as a way of bringing attention to the condition as her son, Tyler Amos, has Tourette’s.

She said: “We had a wonderful day with lots of stalls, food and drink and such a lot of positive feedback.

“I would have loved a bigger attendance but the people i got to speak to about the condition more than made up for it.”
