The Army and Navy flyover has closed for "investigation and maintenance work".
The flyover in Chelmsford City Centre is closed this morning, causing queues on the Baddow bypass approaching the Army and Navy roundabout.
Essex Traffic Control also say there is building work currently taking place on Van Diemans Road, Chelmer Road and Baddow Road.
Traffic has been slow moving since around 7.30am.
