A Chelmsford radio station has applied for funding to allow it to recruit a volunteer organiser.
Chelmsford Community Radio (CCR) is a not-for-profit radio station broadcasting on 104.4FM.
The almost 100-strong team of volunteers struggle to keep the station running on a day-to-day basis. With this in mind, CCR has applied for funding from the Aviva Community Fund. The funding would cover the salary of a volunteer co-ordinator.
Having a co-ordinator in place would mean that CCR would be able to open the doors to further opportunities, as well as offer a supervised work placement slot for school or college work experience.
