A Chelmsford mum is appealing for a driver to come forward after her daughter was pushed in front of his lorry by school kids.

Anya Gregson, 15 from Great Baddow was pushed into the path of an on-coming lorry by a group of boys from Great Baddow High School.

Her mum, Em Gregson, 36, has been home-schooling Anya since December due to her being bullied.

She said: “She was distracted by a passing funeral procession but she thinks there was four or five boys, possibly in years nine or ten. They came up behind her and shoved her into the road.

“They ran off laughing down an alleyway. Anya literally had seconds to get out of the road as a lorry was coming towards her.”

Anya was walking down Lucas Avenue on her way home from school around 4.45pm when the boys approached her.

Em added: “She used to attend Baddow High School so she knows their uniform.

“All she saw was their black blazers and their yellow badge, she didn't see what they looked like as it happened so quickly.

“She was more concerned about getting up and out the road before the lorry hit her.”

Anya goes to Moulsham High School and only started back last Monday after being removed from her previous school nine months ago.

Em said: “It took us nine months to get her a place at a school near us, with three appeals.

“She has already been through so much this year.

“Because of the bullying she received from the previous school she has severe anxiety attacks. Luckily, it's the half-term but she had to get a lift to school and back yesterday”

Em doesn’t believe anyone witnessed the incident but is hoping that the lorry driver will come forward with information.

She said: we haven't involved the police yet we were going to wait on the school first. They’ve told us that they will investigate.”

Em is appealing for anyone with information to contact Moulsham High
