Police have arrested three men in Chelmsford after receiving a report of a burglary in progress.
Officers received a call after five suspects smashed a glass door and entered a property in Duke Street shortly after midnight today (Friday, September 29).
Police quickly attended the scene and arrested two men, aged 21 and 20, from South Tottenham, and a 18-year-old man from Chelmsford on suspicion of burglary. They remain in custody for questioning.
Two other suspects ran from the scene towards Bellmead Park and remain outstanding. Police today carry out house to house enquiries and will be reviewing CCTV close to the scene.
