Farleigh Hospice is thrilled to announce that the fundraising Bubble Rush event held in Chelmsford Central Park was a triumph, with 1,500 runner hoping to raise an incredible £55,000.

The event, which involved participants of all ages walking, jogging, and running 5km along a circular course divided by four bubble stations blasting out coloured foam, follows on from the success of the first ever Bubble Rush held in Maldon in April.

Alison Stevens, Farleigh’s Chief Executive, said: “I was delighted to be part of our first ever Bubble rush event in Chelmsford.

“The weather was perfect and the Farleigh events team and all of the volunteers did an amazing job of organising the day for so many families to enjoy such a fun-filled event.

“Our Chair Jeff Slater and I had the privilege of handing out medals at the finish line and hearing the wonderful stories and excitement from all of those who took part.

“Not only did this occasion provide great summer holiday entertainment for local families, it also contributed to raising much needed funds for Farleigh Hospice.”

Donations are still being collected.
