THE comedy and dance music acts for this year’s V Festival have been announced.

A host of top names will perform on the stages at Hylands Park, Chelmsford on Saturday, August 19 and Sunday, August 20.

On the Saturday, in the Glee Comedy Tent, hosted by Mark Oliver, comedians performing will include Joel Dommett, Lee Nelson, Seann Walsh, Jen Brister, Damo Clark and Inel Tomlin.

In the JBL Dance Arena there will be performances from Steve Aoki, Glantis, Alan Walker, Sigala DJ set, Don Diablo, Digital Farm Animals and Lost Kings.

On the Sunday there will be comedy from Joe Lycett, the Rubberbandits, Matt Reed, among others, while in the JBL Dance Arena there will be appearances by Gongon City, Example and DJ Wire.

After winning the Best Newcomer award in 2008, Joel Dommett’s career has gone from strength-to-strength. His recent stint on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here ensured a laugh a minute for his fellow camp mates.

Also joining the comedy line-up is Brighton-born, multi award-winning comedian Seann Walsh.

He said: “Having reached my 30s, I thought it best to avoid festivals where I could. But my agent assures me V Fest is a chilled festival with a range of falafel stands, yurts and even has a yoga tent.”
