POLICE are appealing for information after a man was attacked and robbed by two men.
It took place in Rainsford Road, Chelmsford, at about 9.20pm yesterday.
A 40-year-old man, from Maldon, was walking close to the Nissan garage when he was approached by two men who punched him in the head with knuckledusters. They then robbed him of his mobile and cash.
The victim managed to escape and run into a nearby shop before calling police. He suffered minor injuries.
The suspects are described as being black men, aged in their mid-20s and were wearing dark Nike tracksuits. They drove off in a black vehicle, believed to be a Volkswagen Golf.
