THE polls will open next week for the Essex County Council elections. Residents will have the chance to vote for candi - dates to represent their area on Thursday, May 4.
The Conservatives currenlty have an overall majority on the council, with 45 of the 75 seats.
The candidates to represent the Chelmsford area in this year’s elections are:
