REPRESENTATIVES from Dementia Adventure recently visited the Knitting and Craft Group at Chelmsford Volunteering Centre, where they were presented with some beautifully crafted hats, scarves and blankets.

The items were specially commissioned for Dementia Adventure in their organisation colours.

The knitted items will be used to help keep people warm when they are out and about on their adventures!

Dementia Adventure helps people living with dementia get outdoors, connect with nature, themselves and their community, and retain a sense of adventure in their lives.

They provide dementia-friendly holidays, from small groups to bespoke individual breaks, offering an alternative to traditional respite as partners, family or friends can join the holiday and benefit from the support that Dementia Adventure provide.

Pauline Pickering, Volunteering Centre Co-ordinator, said: “The group really enjoyed making these items for Dementia Adventure; it is very satisfying for them to know that they can contribute in this way to such a deserving cause.”
