Person sadly died after being struck by a train
A PERSON has sadly died after being struck by a train.
Emergency services rushed to the scene at Chelmsford Train Station.
A spokesman for the East of England said the service was called at 1.37pm today.
A spokesman for the British Transport Police said: “We’ve been called to Chelmsford station after receiving reports that a person was struck by a train.
"Police were alerted shortly after 1.30pm.
“Officers are on scene alongside paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service however a person has sadly been pronounced dead.
“Officers are working to identify the person and inform their family.
“This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the corner.”
