The Christmas spirit will be alive and well in The Meadows as giant elves deliver festive cheer to shoppers for the first three weekends in December.

They willbe giving out festive treats and goodies to everyone that pops by, from chocolate coins and candy canes to tote bags.

Kids will also be able to find out from Santa if they’ve been naughty or nice this year, by playing on the ‘Naughty or Nice’ app with the elves and everyone will be able to have their photo taken with the elves and get an “elfie selfie”.

Centre Manager Sue Patel said; “We really wanted to do something different this year and make Christmas fun for all our visitors.

"We’re excited to bring the giant elves to The Meadows and hope our customers will enjoy meeting them.

"Added to this we are delighted to welcome our charity partner Hamelin Trust to the centre at the same time who will be gift wrapping presents which we hope will make our customers lives that little bit easier too!”

Local charity Hamelin Trust is The Meadows official charity partner this Christmas and will also be providing exciting Christmas activities in the centre this December.

Their volunteers will be gift wrapping customers’ Christmas presents on the first three weekends in December, for a small charitable donation.

The trust will also provide fundraising activities during the weeks leading up to Christmas, including tombolas, raffles, festive games, and visits from their mascot ‘Buddy The Bear’ as well as a special guest appearance from their choir ‘The Ladybirds.
