A WOMAN has been rushed to hospital in a life-threatening condition after a road crash in Chelmsford.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the two-vehicle collision, which took place in Parkway at about 9.40am today.
A black Nissan Qashqai and a yellow Hyundai Amica were involved in the collision.
The driver of the Qashqai, a woman in her fifties, was airlifted to Romford’s Queens Hospital where she remains in a life-threatening condition.
The two occupants of the Hyundai, a man and woman, also suffered injuries and have been taken to Chelmsford’s Broomfield Hospital for treatment.
The section of Parkway, between Victoria Road South and Rainsford Lane, reopened at 3.10pm.
Witnesses to the crash are asked to contact officers at the Stanway Road Policing Unit on 101.
