CHELMSFORD Labour Party has selected Galleywood parish councillor Richard Hyland as the county council candidate for Chelmsford West.
The experienced campaigner was selected on Saturday October 22 by Labour members following a meeting at the Church of the Holy Spirit, Forest Drive, Chelmsford.
The county council elections, on May 4 2017, will decide which party has responsibility for Essex’s schools, roads and children’s services.
Richard Hyland said: “I’m honoured to be chosen as Labour’s candidate for Chelmsford West.
"I’m looking forward to speaking out on behalf of residents to protect our local community.”
