CHELMSFORD choir members are “honoured” after being invited to sing alongside a TV personality in front of a packed theatre.

More than 30 members from the Chelmsford branch of Funky Voices – a modern Essex based choir – performed with Jane McDonald, of Loose Women fame, on Thursday (September 15) at Cliffs Pavilion Theatre, in Southend.

Sandra Colston, Funky Voices musical director, Sandra Colston, said: “It was an honour to perform with Jane.

“She was lovely to work with and very complimentary of us all night.”

Jane asked the troupe to perform their own short set before they joined her on a number of songs.

The choir continues to recruit more members.

First sessions are free.
