CHELMSFORD Comedy Club has unveiled another line up at the Lion House - and it includes TV people.

Junior Simpson, a known face on television after appearing on Never Mind the Buzzcocks, with his observational comedic exuberance, will take to the stage on Thursday August 11.

He will be supported by James Redmond, Alistair Barrie and Danny Ward.

James, compare for the night, is known for his slick and subtle stand up accompanied with unexpected twists. He has also appeared on Buzzcocks.

Alistair, a member of London's Comedy Store who has received warm reviews from the national press, will open the night from 9pm.

Upbeat Danny promises to deliver his easy-going comedic style.

Speaking before the event, a Comedy Club spokesman said: "With his infectious energy and huge stage presence it is easy to see why Junior Simpson is a circuit favourite. Simpson has a boundless joy and exuberance that has audiences hooked with hilarity.

"A true observational comic Simpson finds his humour in the everyday and humdrum with anecdotes of his world travels as a comedian adding a personal originality to his set."

Doors open at 7.30pm and food is served 5.30pm.

The venue is located on Main Road, Boreham.
